Default BBQ Flush Mount - 1994 2300SC

I'm looking to install a Magma Kettle grille flush mount on my 1994 2300sc. The position I've chosen is flat, level, but for not accessible from underneath.

There seems to be some kind of fibreglass "bulk head" that would prevent me from threading on the bolts. Although the area (in red) does seem to be hollow.

I'm hoping someone can give me some insights or direction. Currently I'm thinking of making an access hole on the side, that would allow me to thread the bolts and nuts from that point.

Welcome aboard

I too would go with creating an access panel on the side but first drill an inspection hole as I have found Maxum has reinforced certain areas with wood such as the step just behind this area.

I would scrutinize that burgundy and grey panel below it. I would bet that panel can be removed and access gained to above from behind it.

Not sure about the '94 but my '97 2300SC had the fuel fill and vent on that side. Where is it located on the '94?
