Auxiliary/kicker motor mount
Hello there fellas!,
I got a 2000 slr open-bow w/5.7 Merc. That I’ve been wanting to added an emergency outboard just to get me back if main motor fails. I haven’t had any problems yet. I say yet cause my life runs on Murphys Law. Anything that can go wrong will go wrong. And I hope it doesn’t do it while I got passengers. I also already have a GameFisher 5 hp in almost new condition sitting in the garage.
Now looking for mounts and where to install it I noticed something and thought. Can’t I mount it on the ladder behind the swim deck? Will it hold? Anyone ever try it? I thank you and all you advise, comments & input. I’m including a picture of ladder that’s mounted very solidly to transom. Can I or should make a mount for the ladder? I’m trying to load pictures unsuccessfully but I’ll keep trying
