I have brand new seats now, thanks to Kim from Canvas plus!
But first the horror...

Contacted Kim and a few weeks later my skins were ready to ship to Belgium!
I took my time, but after a few evenings it was done.
I have no pics of the work in progress, but this is the result.
After a few weeks almost all the rimples are gone.

Thanks, but still some work to do.
When it rains hard water enters somewhere trough the port deck window.
Not much, but annoying...
In the past, some of the screws that hold the windows in place were replaced with screws with conical heads, causing them to crack the plexi around them...
Bought some captain tolley stuff and will try it.
But if i can't fix it that way, i will fabricate new windows.

I had Kim at Canplus@aol.com do mine too. Just beautiful. I bought the stainless steel staples and upholstery staple gun, air compressor etc to put them on. The staples have rusted yes it makes me mad!

Another issues was ... when I pulled off the L-Shape Seating back pad it busted the little black S mount pieces and now I cannot find them anywhere to buy to reinstall the pad so it just lays on the back bench which I have people hold it while underway so it doesn't blow out. A few years have passed and I am still looking for the correct piece or any piece to reinstall the back pad.. what a nightmare.

I have to contact her again because now the exit door pad needs to be redone. I have given up on the captain seats and will just buy new ones. OEM Replacements are 800+ without shipping cost so looking for less expensive replacements. This is all on a boat that is always covered and cared for... Yes I love her.

So Kim is the person to contact for Maxum Boat Skins and seats.

Next time use Monel staples, not stainless. Monel is a nickel-copper alloy with better corrosion resistance. As you found out, stainless can rust if not exposed to air.
