Thumbs up SBX cruising thru our waters



this machine is the SBX, Xband missile defence radar system designed to be relocatable and able to track enemy missiles and direct an intercept...

pretty awesome...here in seattle for some repairs and upgrades..

Yeah, I saw that thing on the news too. Pretty impressive scale. They said it would be able to track objects the size of a baseball at 3000 miles away. Impressive. Imagine the quick tan one could get standing close to it.

Where are they putting that thing, Steve? I heard it was going West of the mouth of the Strait of Juan de Fuca.

well..Vector marine is doing the repairs/mods (aka todd shipyard)....then she goes back to alaska where she'll be evaluating the over the pole routes....
actually the tan isn't the problem.....it's the fact that they don't need a microwave to make dinner !!!
she is NOT going to be at the mouth of the SJDF.....
the indians would have a fit
