Default What color is my Maxum 2300SC? - need to do some gelcoat repair!

I have a 2001 Maxum 2300SC... I think it's a dark green (almost dark navy blue) - certainly the covers are green... I need to repair some crazing in the gelcoat... anyone know what color the gelcoat is?... manufacturers' color-match number would be even better?

Long shot, but thought I'd try here before resorting to mixing my own from scratch (no pun intended).

Thanks in advance,
Simon

Simon you might have contact a ex maxum dealer for the color code but even if you do I doubt if it is made.Myself ,I would try to match it yourself with a color kit.

Thanks biggerseagar... I realise that even with the right color to start with, I'll probably need to lighten it (due to sun fade), but I was hoping to have a start point... I have sent an email to Bayliner customer care already with the same question (I believe Bayliner took on Maxum?), but not holding out much hope there... anyone else got any suggestions?... if I get an answer from Bayliner (or anywhere else) I'll post it here...

Thx
Simon

Simon you and Roger are on the right track. Try Maxum customer care.

Surprisingly and completely unexpectedly, I got a response back from Bayliner customer care... just in case anyone else has a similar question, here's the response: "Based on the hull identification number provided the green gel coat is paint code #F50-76445"... now I just need to find a supplier :-)

Cheers,
Simon

Just in case anyone has the same color-way as my boat, I have all the gelcoat colors now:
- Green hull gel coat is paint code #F50-76445 (Loden Green)
- White hull gel coat is paint code #F50-39853 (Dream White)
- Cockpit/dash board gel coat is paint code #F50-76291 (Tan Suede)

Hope that helps any "Googlers" out there...

Cheers,
Simon

Default Dream White

Is that a Maxum white color for all white gel coated Maxum boats or are there different whites for different years?

TY Mike,

Do you know the color code of the engine compartment off-white? I have tried different spray paints but not quite the same match. Anybody got a good color match with Krylon or any other brand white spray paint (don't want to use the word B...) LOL?

I was trying to purchase a gel coat kit from Spectrum but they could not match it by the make and year. I ran across this list for the year 2000 but it seems as these did not change much over the years. Hope it helps.

Default That’s super helpful.

Thank you for taking the time to put this on here. Super useful. I have the same Green and off white in my 1900SC. Will try to source it locally. I’m in the U.K. as another poster mentioned too. Possibly even just a touch up spray can made to code colour spec will solve my needs. Thanks again.

Default Hello Simon - Paint Color

Hi Simon, I see you have helped some other boat owners. I have a 2005 3100SE. I want to fix some minor chips and scratches on the "white" hull. I need to figure out what color it is so I can match it. I understand it could be Dream white or Arctic white. Do you have any idea how I can figure nit out?

Thanks Dave
