Default Ski Hook

The ski hook on the transom of my '06 1900 SR3 spontaneously loosened then came free (not while in use, thank goodness). Has anybody else had to deal with this? It seems impossible to reach the attachment point from inside because of the transom locker.

Thanks in advance for any comments.

doesn't help much ... but I didn't like position of ski hook - too low, and certainly too low for wakeboarding - pull is down instead of up.

I just fitted a Roswell 52 Tower to my SR3 http://www.roswellwakeair.com/content/view/17/35/

Interesting that you referred to the Roswell tower. That is the exact one I was looking at getting, in part as they are a local product (manufactured here in Edmonton). I take it you are happy with yours?

As for the ski hook, it is incredibly tough to get up and in behind the transom locker to reinstall it. Frankly I don't have a clue how I am going to do it. For the meantime I have sealed the holes.

Roswell area 52 tower is supremely well made - exudes quality.
I have only had it on the boat a short time, so can't vouch for how it lasts .. but it is so solidly built, impressive billet ally and first rate tig welding, with heavy anodized coating.
Just so damn expensive.

I really like the idea of getting the SkySki rack for the Tower : http://www.skyski.com/node/93

but that is very expensive
