Smile New member here! 93 max. 1800SR owner.

Recently purchased a 1993 maxum 1800 SR from an older gentleman in AR.

He owned it since 2002 to let his kids and the grand kiddos play with it during the summer. To be fair its great but little beat up and needs an update.

if you guys have any advice. any recommendations. its greatly appreciated!!

its been winterized and sitting for 2 year.
im going to start:
tinkering with the motor. replace plugs, wires and the distributor cab ( if possible )
fresh oil change. AND REPLACE THE IMPELLER ( WATER PUMP ?)
he took the boat in for the lower end service. had the gear oil changed in 2018. but i was thinking about doing it myself just to be safe.
if possible replace the fuel pump. and maybe suck the tank trash out if any
after i get the the fuel system, motor and outboard unit serviced i want to start adding custom stuff. swim deck. tow tower with sunshade and a stereo system preferably a simple bluetooth unit. we all use our phones nowadays so i dont need a screen like an aftermarket car stereo just a bluetooth box tucked away.

again if you guys have advice for servicing or how to guides. tool recommendations. know where i can find aftermarket swim deck, tow tower and stereo equipment advice. I GREATLY APPRECITE YALLS HELP.
This is my first boat. i love a project. super excited to be a maxum boater!

I would drain and dispose of the old fuel. Check/replace the bellows in addition to what you listed. What engine do you have? The Mercruiser manual can be found under Documents of this site.

Mercruiser manuals #14 and #25 are what you need.
