Default hydrolic oli for my trim flaps

hi guys
yust inspected the boat before it go's in
one of the lines to the trim flaps was thorn
attached it again but there is no fluid in it anymore
what to fill it with
something like ATF oil ?

if your talking about the drive rams....yes..atf oil will work .....

so i can put the ATF (red colour) oil in which i normally use for my car
next question
do i need a lot and how do i bleed the system.

it's a self priming system and shouldn't need priming....however if your making repairs in it and it had water intrusion..then according to the Merc manual...use 30 detergent oil and cycle the rams several times.....then suck the oil out and use either apvd oil or atf.....

no water in the system.
yust a leak with all the oil running out
will use ATF tomorrow so it will be ready to be set to water next week

just cycle the drive up and down several times and that will bleed the system of air..you may have to put some oil in after you cycle it a few times..

let us know how it went..
