Default Gel coat patch

2007 Maxum 2100sc3
American Beauty Red
I have some small scratches/gouges that I would like to repair. Any suggestions for patch kits?
Spectrum appears to be the original manufacturer for US Marine gelcoat but it doesn’t look like they stock this color any more.
Has anyone found a color match or cost-effective way to diy this type of cosmetic repair?
Thanks
Jeff

I’ve never done a color match but there are kits out there, best to mix a sample until you can come up with the proper mix to get the color you need. For an older boat factory color won’t match so experimenting is required.

I've had good luck by calling Spectrum. I was lucky in that I had the original sales paperwork for my boat and knew the color name, but Spectrum can help you get the right color.
I agree with Mike that a perfect match is unlikely on a 10 year old boat. The quality of the repair will depend on how many steps you are willing to do, i.e. wet sand, heavy compound, light compound, polish, and wax. There are compounds made specifically for gel coat. A level repair and wax shine will make the scratches much less visible.
A scratch that disappears when it gets we can usually be buffed out without adding touch up paint.
