Default dehumidifier

Previous owner ran something like this, plugged in 24/7 while on shore power. I kept it in the sink in the galley so that it would drain naturally into gray water.

Anyone have any opinions for or against this idea before I order it?

My thoughts are to have that one set up while I'm temporarily moored, but also while plugged in at home year round.

We run a small dehumidifier with a short length of hose that dumps into the galley sink. Our sink discharges overboard (no grey water tank on the ocean). We run it during the week while the boat is on the dock. When we get to the boat on Friday night, we move it up to the truck/car and just use the AC.
