Default Deck Water Fill Cap 2"

I dropped the water fill cap and retainer ring in the lake last weekend.
I am looking for a replacement cap. The hole in the deck plate measures 2".
The problem is I don't know what brand or if it matters the cap is. Sea-Dog, Attwood, Perko? I see products online anywhere from $5-$200. I am sure I'm not the first person to drop a fill cap in the lake.
Any advise on locating a replacement cap and retainer ring? Water Cap 2" Stainless with o-ring. Boat: 2001 Maxum 2700 SCR

I suspect it is a Perko. Should be able to find it on-line easy enough.

It should be a perko. Take your gas cap off and see if it fits your water, which it should and go from there. The cap either has a lip or doesn't. So match what you have and make sure you get a wire catch, so they don't fall in the drink again. Went through this last year on my 01 3000. They are not cheap to replace. Good luck.

I would test it with the waste cap instead of the gas cap so you don't have to remove and replace the wire.

I dropped my water cap in the lake and replaced it with a plastic one that floats.

Thank you for your responses. Yes, I have found Perko caps online. For a 2" cap they are anywhere from $60-160!
I did see plastic ones for $5. I am still looking for a reasonably priced cap. Does anyone know an aftermarket or perhaps one of the other manufactures caps will fit? They are a lot less in price. Looking for 2" stainless.

Default water cap replacement

I'm in the same boat as you (pun intended) Did you find a replacement. seem like no one was able to help you on this thread. Most of the ones I saw are say they are for 1 1/2 " pipe tube, but that doesn't really say what size their threeads are. Please post if you found one .
Thank,s Lenapelee

There are aftermarket ones that the threads are off. I believe if you buy Jabsco you will be fine.

I have to disagree, do NOT put your waste cap on your water system. Those are 2 systems you don't want to cross contaminate.
