Default Cockpit sinksfaucet

I have a 2001 3000 scr and the cockpit sink with the single lever faucet is dripping.....then the water pump kicks in every once in awhile also.

Is it fixable? There is a screw on the right side.Do you screw this out to get to the washer?

Roger

As long as the water pump is functioning well you can repair the faucet head or just get a new one. I replaced mine with one from Home Depot. It was the same size and fit well. Take the faucet apart first, could be something simple like a clogged screen....

Where is it dripping from? This sounds like the mixer valve.

Dripping from the spout.........I know I can probabley fix it by openning it up..........just curious how?

Is there a rubber seat or washer on the valve end that is in need of replacement?

Ugg, no idea. I certainly sounds like the mixer valve, however whether that is servicable and how to do so, I'm not sure. You wouldn't happen to have a make/model or picture, would you? I'd start by removing the faucet from the counter and the water line and spinning it over.

After all, whether reparing or replacing, it's gotta come out. You might grab a couple of those cap ends for the water lines, and temporarily cap the hot and cold lines. That way your water system is still up and running on the rest of the boat while you work on it. No cockpit sink isn't a show stopper, but no water anywhere sure would be.

Well.....I took it apart today( should of taken pictures but didn't) and thinking there might be a rubber washer on the end of the valve but there wasn't. The valve end had open and closing window instead. Just let it soak in some vinegar for 15 minutes. Put everything back in and no drip. Does anyone know who makes these faucets?

Well I spoke too soon.......It started to drip on me sunday. I think they are made by Scandvik and the model # is 10663 in which I have found a replacement, which I don't need , the the valve inside the faucet. I am trying to find that valve that you would replace just like in a home faucet set-up.

Still looking..........

Found your part on the Scandvik site, along with the replacement parts they offer. didn't see anything like what you'd need. You might be replacing the faucet.

The saga continues.........I think I found the valve at Graingers. We have a store in Peoria, so I just got to remove the old one and take it with me to compare. Even have a part number........this is like a game of hide and seek with these parts......

That is promising. I shuold clarify "I found your faucet by part number on the Scandvik site. I also found the section of the site for repalcement parts. They didn't have what you're looking for listed. I'm glad you found someone local. good Luck.

Having an issue with my 94 3200 SCR... Faucet was removed by previous owner... Have no clue why or how to repair. Removed the 4 screws that hold it in place but there is not enough play in lines to lift it more then 1/4 inch off the counter so I can t see how to remove it. No apparent access underneath either.

Hi Roger,

I know, old post, but I have a 99 3000 SCR and need to repair deck faucet as well. Did you find the part locally? I cant really tell for sure if it is a Scandvik or just really close.
