Default Bravo 2 oil capacity?

Hi All,
This is the first year with my 32 SCR so I've never done the maintenance on it, I want to put fresh gear lube in the bravo two's but I don't know how much I need to buy, also curious what brand/weight everybody uses.... My boat is a 95 so it is well out of any warranty period, and I've been told that the Mercruiser brand is just highly priced great lube..... What are everyone's thoughts on this?

They take 3 quarts each. I use merc or quicksilver lube. The price difference is not that much so I perfer to go with the manufactures recommendation.

Its a little more than 3 quarts if you drain the entire drive while still connected to the boat (it will drain the reservoir as well). I have a 95 3200 SCR, it takes about 3.25 quarts per bravo 2 drive. I use Merc/Quicksilver stuff.

Make sure you fill by pumping the gear lube up into the drive to get rid of any air pockets.

Thanks. ... I'm sure everything else is the same as I did in my old boat. .... Just wasn't sure of the capacity in the Bravo Twos.
