Default Bathroom / Head door

Figured I'd create a new thread for each item I'm fixing so it's easier to library and hopefully helps find responses... I apologize if it's too many threads.

Previous owner removed the door to the head. He didn't like how cramped it was and replaced with a curtain, however I know my wife will be wanting a door so I'm going to work on replacing it. I may have to make my own but wanted to see if anyone can help find a good suggestion. the doorway looks to be a little modified but I can't tell since I don't know what this entry way looks like factory stock.

it's 19.25" wide by 62.25" tall.

I'm googling and finding a few doors here and there that I may be able to modify to fit but if anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears.

Or if you know any donor boats being parted out that might be a good solution unless my doorway has been made larger (which I think it has. it's curved at the top now and I don't think that was factory...could be wrong).

I will measure the door on my 2400 scr and will post back.

No need to apologize. That is how it is supposed to work. Many thanks.

As for the door, if you have a joiner, a table saw, a biscuit joiner, a belt sander and a jig saw you could mill one yourself. Basically make a door.

Or, find a friend who does wood working and have him make a door.

Yeah we are leaning more and more that direction, it's going to come down to a question of style preference now. Looks like making our own door will save us a good $500-1000 lol.

Dustin
The door is 18 x 591/4
The opening is 181/4 x 591/2
And has rounded corners top and bottom
Hope this helps

Thanks Don, that gives me some insight. I suspected they had widened the door some. our dims are 19.25" wide by 62.25" tall with a curved top so I'm thinking an inexpensive homemade door may be on the agenda here.

Another side question for you since your 2400 is the same age as mine... is all of your upholstery, headliner, etc still original or have you freshened up any of that yet?

All original inside and outside.
My door has a metal trim around the cutout.

you know what I should have asked is for pictures... lol. since I've never seen the door on mine, if you guys don't mind that would be helpful too.

I wonder if a classy vent at the top would be a nice addition or if it would be a bad idea considering the shower and ventilation.
