Default barnical residue

any success with removing the white residue from the barnicals? on the bravo 3 units

As I was getting my Sea Ray ready to sel,l I found that Muriatic Acid worked ...with a little help from a plastic puty knife. As you caan imagine the putty knife did not survive the procedure but with patience the white rings went away.
And, of course, you have to be very careful when using the acid to make sure it only touches metal parts.

I've had very good luck with sandpaper (100-150 grit is fine). Plus it kills 2birds with one stone. It allows you to simultaneously complete the first step in applying a new coat of antifouling paint.
