4100 cutless bearing

I'm getting conflicting answers between mechanic and research. Can anyone tell me if there are bearings in the shaft log on the 4100 sca? Or only in the strut? Thanks for your time and assistance.

There is a shaft seal at the shaft log. I've heard of cutlass bearing at the exit of the shaft log (shaft exit bearing). I don't believe they all have them. If it had one, you'd need a way to keep it cool. Like trusting your doctor over WebMD, I'd trust my mechanic over Google.

Thanks, I have since found out there is no actual bearing, but there is a log flange.
