Obviously too late for you since you already got yours up and running, but I wonder if this is the same one you got? I know you said you paid about $2,500 but this one on Amazon is under $1800 shipped.

Hard to see what is there but I would not buy that after I read the review. Sterndrive Mercruiser Replacement. No thak you.
I buy my stuff from where the shops buy theyers. They trust the place for many years. I trust them to. You probably never got burn. But one thing where I wont try to save money, that's my boat. You get towed out just one time and you we see what I'm talking here. One towing=$900.00. Then I ask, How much do you save?

The Amazon link is to an SEI model, which is a 3rd party vendor of replacements. I suspect Gugi47 might have gone with Mercruiser OEM parts instead.

That's correct my friend. OEM parts. When I'm going out boating, always go to the Bay. And when I'm there, I go Gaga all over the places. I can't afford to stuck there for saving some money.
