Default 2000 Maxum 1950NR - Fuse Panel Location

Hi!
I have a 2000 Maxum 1950NR. Any idea where the fuse panel might be?

Welcome to the zoo....are we talkin about the AC panel or the DC panel...the DC panel should be at the helm station under the steering wheel......

ac panel should be in the cabin ....

Default Depth Alarm Fuse

I am looking for the fuse panel that has a fuse for the depth alarm.

Do you know what the high pitch alarm is that goes off when you first start your boat? I think it may have something to do with the depth alarm. Anyway, when I start my boat, this alarm does not go off once the boat starts. It just keep ringing constantly. I wanted to try pulling the depth alarm fuse to see if that is the alarm that won't stop.

That is the engine monitor not the depth finder. I believe that alarm monitors oil pressure, engine temp and outdrive oil reservoir. Can you confirm that you have oil pressure? Have you checked the fluid level in the outdrive reservior (in engine compartment)? There is a float inside that plastic reservior when it goes down, it trips the alarm. Ensure it is not stuck down as well.

Default Drive Lube Monitor

Is the outdrive oil reservoir the same as the "drive lube monitor"? I checked and the fluid in a reservoir called "drive lube monitor" is low.

Usually an overheat is a constant tone and low drive lube is a couple of beeps. You could rule out the depth guage by turning it off. There should be two switches, one for depth guage and one for depth alarm. If you turn on the depth soundser, then toggle the depth alarm you can set the alarm to off. ALso, if the depth guage is off, the alarm should not sound. A contant tone is typically overheat. Check the temps, it might simply be the temp. sender that is having an issue.

Hey Shrew, this is not the first time I have heard this on how the alarm is "supposed" to operate. I can tell you my 1996 5.7 Alpha 1 Gen II does not work this way.
When I turn on my key the alarm sounds and does not turn off until engine is started (I have waited 3 minutes before getting annoyed with alarm sound). I have heard it should shut off after 30 seconds or so, maybe mine is broke
Now I have never overheated so cannot attest to that one.
I did blow my front shaft seal earlier this year and the oil monitor went dry. After I started the engine the alarm never went off and just stayed on until I turned off the engine. Again, maybe mine is broke but this is how it works on my 96 model

There do seem to be discrepancies on how the alarm works.

On my 2004 MY EFI boat I turn the key to the "Run" position and the alarm sounds for maybe 5 seconds then stops. I then start the engine but the alarm remains silent.

The only other time the alarm has sounded was when the drive monitor reservoir was low, and that alarm - if I recall correctly (was last year) was two beeps followed by a pause, then two beeps, pause, etc-etc.
