Default Water in oil

I had water in oil. Had boat pulled out and marina and they did a few tests. Before they did that they pulled the plugs out and there was water in the cylinders'. but could not determine where the water came from. they closed off the hoses and put a high pressure hose in the engine to circulate the water and ran it for 2 days and no water was leaking in the oil or cylinders. They though then it might be a cracked exhaust manifold so they were replaced with new risers and elbows and plugs. Used the boat about about 4 mor times and again there was water in the oil and they said it was hydro locked. any suggestion and what to do. After paying $6500 to the marina is they anything that i can do to try and fix it if it can. Enclosed is the bill on what was done.

There is no mention of what condition the exhaust flappers where in.
Water could be entering through exhaust when you back off of plane,

Thanks for the suggestion. are the flappers easy to see. Not really sure that can be the problem but possible. The water has got into the oil by running the engine with the mufflers on also

They did not replace the exhaust manifolds so that is a potential source of water intrusion else I suspect it’s an issue with the engine itself such as leaking intake manifold or head gasket. A compression/ leak down test will confirm heat gasket.

Thanks admiral. the old exhaust manifolds were replaced and new ones were installed.. Please download the boatrepair.pdf file that I attached which say what was done. Thanks. Is there a you tube on how to do a compression/leak down test. since i would like to do it and not give any more money to the marina and try to do it myself. Thanks'

Yup I missed that they did the manifolds. I never looked a u tubes for either procedure since I know how to perform them so you better off looking at a few yourself on each to until you have a good understanding. Compression test is easier. Disable the ignition by flipping the kill switch at the helm. Remove all spark plugs insert the tool (you can rent one from an auto parts store or buy a mid priced one, cheap ones aren’t accurate). Crank the engine a few revolutions and lead the gauge. Record for each cylinder. A healthy reading is 150 psi and all cylinders should be within 10% of each other.

Is there a riser between the manifolds and the elbows? Sometimes if there is not enough lift, this issue can occur. I know both my 454 and 496 needed a 6" riser.

Has anyone checked the intake manifold a blown head gasket, or a cracked or warped intake manifold? Either could cause this issue to occur as well.
