Default Twin 5.0

I was wondering what type of milage i should expect from twin 5.0 on my 1999 3000 scr ????? MPH OR GPH??

welcome to the zoo...your running of twin 5.0's depend alot on tides,winds, loads etc...but average is about 18gph...there on or bouts...

I've got the same boat, same year, same engines. I just got it late last summer. I only had it in the water for a month to see what needed to be done over the winter. I haven't figured out the fuel usage yet. I have gone through it from one end to the other and I'm always finding something new (or something that needs renewing). You've come to a good spot

These are for a 3100, but it might be helpful.


3100 SCR - 220hp Mercruisers 5.0L W/ Bravo II Sterndrives, 2003 model.

The performance is with 2 people onboard and 3/4 fuel 1/4 water.
@ 1000 RPM, 5.0 mph
@ 1500 RPM, 7.1 mph
@ 2000 RPM, 9.0 mph
@ 2500 RPM, 10.1 mph
@ 3000 RPM, 19.9 mph 23.0 gph calculated
@ 3500 RPM, 28.0 mph
@ 4000 RPM, 32.6 mph
@ 4500 RPM, 38.7 mph
@ 4550 RPM, 39.5 mph, WOT

thanks Tig....

of course the harder you push on the loud handle...the more gas is sucked into the burn centers.....needless to say that chart clearly shows how much gas is gonna get used at what rpm...
