Default Transmission Fluid Change?

Hi, I have a pair of Mercruiser 7.4L 310's and there doesn't seem to be a drain nut on the Transmissions. Does anyone have any idea how to fully drain these transmissions of fluid?

I thought that might be the case. I'm not going to be any help.

You might want to try posting on a non brand specific site like BoaterEd.com

Grant,

I have the same, I have just suctioned the oil from the engines using a vacuum pump, I have changed the generator oil the same way, next weekend it's the V drives I am assuming I can do the same, the vacuum pump I have comes with a variety of hoses so I plan to just place one in the oil fill plug hole

Hope this helps

Grant/Huddo,
what brand of transmission do you have? Mercruiser has used Borg Warner, Velvet, and Hurth/ZF. From what I have read some models have drain plugs and some don't. For the ones tha don't you need to suction the fluid out as Huddo has stated.
