Default Solenoid Enrichment Module

Solenoid Enrichment Module 866148
3.0

Trying to figure out how it works on the TKS carb.
I know it pushes the spring to stop the air.. but where does it get power from? And what makes it get power to activate? How many volts does it use? I tested the connection and I'm not showing any volts to it.
Can't seem to find any information on it

Thanks in advance

Actually when in operation it allows additional fuel into the carburetor through an enriched jet to richen up the mixture when the engine is cold. From what I understand there is a thermal resistor that provides power to the solenoid until the resistor heats up and removes the power. It’s a 12 VDC circuit.

According to this article it’s not a resistor but a wax element like some of the old choke.
