Outdrive painting

So I bought Mar Pro brand zinc chromate primer with MarPro's Mercury black paint. I thoroughly cleaned everything, used Aluma Prep 33 followed by Alodone 1201 and then sprayed the primer and black. A week later, every time I set the part down on something and pick it back up, the paint that touched that something else sticks and pulls off my part. Did I do something wrong or is the paint not that great or no good?

I am not familiar with Alodone 1201, however I have used Aluma Prep 33 followed by Mercs Phantom Black with no issues. I have even used the paint with no primer and not have it come off as you have described.

I feel like it's this brand that may be the issue.

May be I have never used their product.
