Default Identifying Horspower, 5.0LX

As I got this boat used, I have not been able to identify the horsepower ratings (nothing in the manuals). It has a 5.0LX w/4bbl carb.

Is there any identity numbers or a chart listing the horsepower ratings?

Thanks in advance,

as well but mine is a MPI version its rated at 260 hp
hope that helped.

Not yet. So far that has not been a priority but still on my 'to do' list.

I believe the shop manual I have lists horsepower ratings for the different engines, I will check it out when I get home, unless some one else beats me to it.

according to the Clymer shop manual, the 1995 5.0 LX is rated at 205 HP at the propeller shaft.

Thanks for the info. I've settled in with a 15x15 aluminum prop. Gives the best overall performance. I may purchase an Aero prop (torque sensing) in the future but $$ will put that one on hold. They are made just over the border in North Idaho and are extremely efficient and well made. Just expensive. I'm sure I would 'recoup' some of the costs with fuel savings.

Bold sailing to you, Arrrrgggg!!
