Default Gimbal Bearing difference

Is there a way to tell if the installed gimbal bearing is the sealed (Don't grease me) unit just by looking at it through the bell housing.?

Any key differences I should look out for? The housing has the grease nipple on the side but previous owner said it was replaced but didnt say what type.

Thanks

The main difference that I know of is the lubed for life one doesn’t have a grease hole but you cannot see this when installed.

Thanks Mike,

That's what I feared.. It has the words "Made in the USA" and "Link Belt" .. Dont see any model number or anything else :-(

I'll grease it a little bit and see how it goes.. :-)

Throwing some grease in the fitting won't hurt. If it's the sealed bearing then the bearing just blocks the hole and you'll only get a few pumps.
