Default 3100 SE fuel sending unit

How do I access the fuel sending unit on my 3100 SE. I am thinking it is in the aft bunk, but not sure. My fuel gauge goes from zero to 80 or 90 gallons, so I am not sure how much gas I have. I added fuel on land before launching this past spring & gas came out of the fuel fill. Found no clogs in the fuel vent. Did not use the boat much this summer, so I guess I'll be going on a run out of gas tour in the spring.

Fuel level sender is under the mattress, there is a small removable panel to access it. I believe there is a way to check gauge operation first and of course check all connections for corrosion and security. If a new sender is required try one of the newer reed type, they are more accurate and fluctuate less.
