Default 2800 SCR motor/outdrive swap?

I own a 2000 2800SCR that is a theft recovery.She's missing several
items but mainly the motor and outdrive. The boat came with a 7.4/bravo3.
I have a 2000 Volvo 7.4/dual prop that I want to install.
Has anyone attempted this swap? Any ideas?
Oh Yeah.I also need a radar arch????

wow...that sure sucks....first off..welcome to the zoo...second sorry for your dilema... change to volvo your going to have alot of fiberglass repair and then to cut the transom to fit the new outdrive...but here's a chance to go with a b3 drive and a 6.2ltr mpi engine....power and torque of a big block and the weight and foot print of a small block...the engine is noticably smaller than the big block engine and really gives alot of room in the engine bay...I can stand in the front of my engine in the engine bay and move around...there is plenty of room to work....just offering another option......

keep us informed on what you end up for the radar arch...might wanna contact maxum in arlington and see if they can manufacture you a new one.....

Thanks for your welcoming.
I bought the boat as she sits from the insurance co.As a project boat.
I've read several of you comments on your 6.2 and I was considering
the motor untill I came across the volvo.I have a B3 already.I'am not
sure which way to go yet.
As far as the radar arch is concerned,I did contact Maxum and yes
they can build me one for approximenty. $5000.00.

Welcome ive got the 6.2l in a 2800scr there is a lot more room in the engine bay,and it dont halve shift when you open her up,if its an easy life your after keep it simple, the 6.2 should be more economical than the 7.4 to run so they say:have fun
