Default 2000 maxum 330 scr diesel pwered

Hello all,
new to the zoo!
i am currently looking at a 2001 maxum 330 that has twin diesels. Has anyone seen, heard or know about this power package?????
boat is clean, well maintained and low hours, but i know nothing of this power package as an option.
any info will be helpful!

welcome to the zoo...the 3300 is a nice sized boat...we generally don't get those in diesel here...so..don't know alot about them...

hopefully one of our members will chime in with the info...what brand of diesel are they??

that's a strange combination of diesels and drives..I wonder if that was a special order cuz normally those boats came with mercruiser drives and gas engines....as long as it performs well...should be an ok boat..

since Maxum and Mercruiser are owned by the same parent company I can't see them powering with Volvo even with a special order. I suspect the PO repowered. I looked at both Vovo and Yanmar Diesels but the cost for diesel with a complete bobtail package was almost 3 times the cost of a new gas merc alone, so that is what I went with. I can see someone decided to drop the extra cost on a repower if they thought they would keep the boat for 20 more years.
