Default 2 Fuels pumps??

I have a 1989 1900XR that has the original 125Force engine, was wondering about the engine-mounted diaphragm fuel pump, I know they go bad, I just replaced the parts in it. Would it be advisable to have an electric set up and plumbed in case it goes bad in a bad time? that way one could switch to the electric pump and come home.
Also was wondered how the Bilge pump and blige switch is mounted in the Blige? I think they are both Atwood's brands, was going to try and clean up that nasty area that you can't get in to only can feel your way around.
How the hell do you get the gas cap off does it use a tool?

IMO i would not do this. since you just rebuilt the pump it should be good for many years and there is many other things that can go wrong. if you have concerns why not get tow insurance?

Stick with the original setup as Mike suggests.
Changing to an electric pump setup requires more than just plumbing in a pump. There are safeties that these setups require to control when they turn on/off that would be needed. Not worth the time/effort or safety issues.

Bilge pumps are usually mounted to the hull on a pad (plywood) glassed or epoxy’d to the hull at the lowest point in the bilge. Usually a couple of screws thru the base of the pump or switch.

For the deck fill, you need a deck plate key. They come in various designs...
Google ‘deck plate key’.
