Default VHF Radio recieving problems

Hi
I have a 2008 ray 49 VHF radio that will transmit perfectly but will not recieve. It will receive at a low rate if you turn the squelch knob to the noise zone but not if you have it adjusted properly.
I have checked the connections on the antenna and the ground and power leads and all seems fine.
Has anyone had this kind of trouble?
Thanks
Paul

Hey Paul...as a matter of fact I'm going thru the same thing with my radio....it's not recieving at the higher bands....lower bands work ok...16 and other channels are ok..but up around 66 on up..nuthin.........

bout the only thing you can do is replace it...it would cost more to have it repaired than it would to just buy a new one....

this throw away world really ticks me off sometimes...

Paul
ensure that the radio is DCS capable and you get it hooked up to the gps.....it WILL save your butt if the need arises...

I can attest to the effectiveness of DCS..
