Default Tach

My tach needle is a little jumpy. Not because of the engine, that is running smooth. Any ideas? It's a Faria tach w/ hour meter. Thanks!

Check connections on back of tach and at negative terminal of the coil. after that it's the tach which has a limited life time warranty from Faria and they will repair or replace it.

I had the same issue with a Faria tach last year in my new TriToon. After about 18 months it started jumping around then settle down......actually a few taps on the gauge would usually take care of the issue until it did it again.

I checked all the connections and they were solid so when I had it in for service last year they replaced the tach and it has worked perfectly ever since..........hope this helps?

Thanks, I will probably get it changed next time I bring it in for service. It jumps just a bit so I have a good handle on the RPM, tach + sound of engine, but I would like it to work properly.
