Default Sound System Questions

Hi All,

I have a 2002 2700SCR with the standard sound system(not sure what it is). I notice a lot of vibration/distortion from the arch and cockpit speakers. Is there some way to stop the vibration? Should I replace the system? Add a cheap Amp? I'm not looking to blast the tunes, but "Summer Wind" (Frank S.) sounds great when turned up.

Thanks!

my bayliner gets tons of vibration from the radar arch...so...what I did was get some of that rubber type of vulcanizing electrical tape..the kind that comes attached to a sheet of clear plastic and when applied...becomes totally sealed??...then I stuck little pieces of it on the screw holes of the different garboard panels on the arch....that really stopped alot of the vibration or buzzing that goes on .......then make sure all the screws are really tight...not to the point of pulling out..but just really snug...
the other thing you can do is for a bead of silicone sealant...the clear stuff...and let it set up...then install the panels....

I'm a huge audiophile and I think this might be a great option for you. The foam baffles take all the rear exiting sound and divert most of it right out the front where you want it. They also make a great seal as explained above.
