Default Maxum 1800 SR3 (2007) - Stereo Speakers to Replace JBL Marine Speakers

Hi,

I am looking to replace our broken JBL Marine Speakers on our 2007 Maxum 1800 SR3. Wanting to get high quality speakers with great sound/bass that will last. Noting I am in Australia, any suggestions, including ordering from the US? We also have an older Fusion MS-CD500 - petty old, but still effective, so thought I would replace the speakers first, and then assess the stereo - looking at Fusion options to replace.

There are four speakers with 6.5" (I think as the measure closer to 7" edge-to-edge) near the front and I want to say 9"x5" at the rear - also interested in where I might fit a sub-woofer.

Any suggestions, and where to purchase greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Gary

For speakers, it's good to know the diameter of the cut out hole, and also the mounting depth. You would need to remove the speakers to take these measurements. A good site for shopping audio equipment is crutchfield.
You'll need an enclosure for most subs, either a self-contained enclosure or create one in your boat. There are also infinite baffle subs available.
When upgrading your boat stereo, I rec looking into installing a separate deep cycle battery to power the system.

Thanks for your advice and suggestions - it is really appreciated. I have done all the measurements and photos and will reach out to Crutchfield to seek out our options - and good advice on the battery. Your support was much appreciated.

Cheers,

Gary
