Default Inverter 2900SE (2008) & Generator purchase?

I don't think I have one (an inverter) but how would I confirm that one isn't installed (bought boat last year and its equipped with tons of stuff I don't really need but nice to have - Axius and Seacore), so wondering if they installed an inverter...

It has a ProTechi Series 4-stage on-board charger and a 3-battery bank (house and one for each Bravo III). Evaluating options to buy portable Generator (Honda or Yamaha probably, even though expensive). A/C (Marine Air Systems) says it uses less than 5Watts (but no indication of BTU o/p - Compressor o/p is 1hp @115 and 2hp @230), so don't know that a 2,000W Gen will power the A/C.

Advice appreciated!

A Honda 2K will run a 5-6K BTU unit. That would draw roughly 5 amps, not 5 watts. The start-up takes a big hit, so larger units can't be run on a small generator unless you have an easy-start system installed with it.

I think you'd see/find an inverter if you had one. Follow positive lines from the batteries. If you have one, you'll find it.
