Hey everyone, I just got an old 1997 2300SC and my instrument cluster needs to be replaced. Anyone know how much work is involved in this? My gas gauge doesn’t work, my tac is off, and my trim seems to be off as well.

Welcome aboard!

Typically these are independent gauges. Fuel gauge can be tested by grounding the sense terminal, should read full. Open it and should read empty. Typically the sensor in the fuel tank is bad. Trim gauge is probably the sender on the side of the drive has broken wires. Tach is probably faulty, on the back is a cylinder select knob, insert a small screw driver and turn it back and forth a few times then leave it on the correct setting for your engine and see if this helps.

I would advise you use a chartplotter like a Simrad Go7 or Go9 with a FoxMarine Gateway to display your instruments on a full digital Display.

Is there a module to interface the analog inputs onto the gateway?

Nice looking helm. Not sure the OP helm has a good place to mount the display other than using a RAM.

Thanks! She went from a stupid boat to an Autopilot digital monster. The automation is amazing. Click on a point and the boat processes a path and goes by itself!
