Default Installing spotlight

I'm trying to figure out the best way to run the spotlight wires back to the helm from the bow. I have a 2001 2400 scr. Has anyone had any experience doing this or know the best way to do it? Thanks in advance.

I have a 94 2400 SCR, and I had several ideas ( most ideas involved Beer, so try at your own risk..LOL)

The Biggie is Where are you going to Mount it.

I was going to mount it at the Top of the Pulpit Rail All the Way FWD.

If you look closely the wires go thru the Rail.

1. I was going to run the wires thru the Safety rail all the way FWD, starting aft and going FWD. If you get access to area where Throttle Head is, you can see where the Safety Rail mounts. I thought I could use some .040 Safety Wire, It's kinda stiff but should work.

2. You could just go thru the first strut then fish thru the Cabin with the other wires for the "Running Lights" I might be easier to pull disconnect a wire and attach a Strong String to the Wire and Pull it thru that way you can attach the New Wire(Don't forget the wire you disconnected)

What's your Home Port, I'm in MD?

I like that mount on the rail. I was planning on putting on the pulpit starboard of the anchor. The wire bundle that came with the spotlight is pretty thick. I was hoping for a way to run it inside the cabin from the anchor locker. I'm in Louisville, KY.

Hey guys so I think I'm going to buy this light:

I have been looking for a mounting plate to mount it onto the bow rail pulpit. I've seen boats with a stainless steel plate welded on. I can't find anything like it online.

This is probably what I will end up doing if I can't find any better options:

I did this already on a 3200 SCR. On the starboard side rub rail about every third screw is extra long and screws into the back of the corner trim piece inside the salon area. When you remove all of the long screws the trim piece will drop out and expose a wire channel that runs the full length of the boat. You will also be able to pass the cable through the bulkhead that separates the anchor locker from the salon/v-berth area. I had to buy and extension cable as the included harness was not long enough. Be sure to hook the supply power to the hot side of your nav lights (should say this in the instructions) Also be sure to throw some marine caulk in the screw holes where you mount the light and when reinstalling the rub rail screws.
