First welcome to the website.

With a 12v tester do you have power at each fuse in question? Aren't these circuit breakers?

Go from there...

Welcome aboard.

As Roger said use a volt meter to verify 12V is at the fuses, then at the switches, and then at each fixture.

Do not forget to test the grounds for all these. There may be a common ground for all fixtures not working so one bad wire may fix all.

I have the same boat(2 years older).... Your fuses may be good, but the fuse panel itself may not. Check that you have 12v at the wire terminal connections on both sides of each fuse. My fuses were good, but there was corrosion on the fuse box.

Also check the switches... The anchor light and navigation light switches are wired together(they share a common 12v wire)... Wire may have broken, come off or corroded at the switch.

I would start witha voltmeter before pulling parts. Is 12V getting to the fuse block? Sometime removing and reinstalling fuses fixes these types of problem as an oxide can build up on the contacts.

looking at the wiring diagram the nav and anchor lights are on the same fuse.

I've recently purchased a 2000 2400SCR and joined this forum, and I've got several items that don't work. I've read MANY posts where our boats have an issue with the fuse block itself corroding. The fuse is good but no power gets out the other side...I agree with Diggin2Day, make sure you have power coming out the OTHER side too!

I am getting ready to dig into mine this weekend and see what I can figure out, but I have a question along these lines...in my manual I see TWO fuse blocks and their wiring, and there are enough fused electrical items that two would seem to be necessary--everything listed in the fuse block diagram is an item on my boat. I've done a quick search-around and I can only find the one fuse block under the steering wheel. Does anybody know where the second fuse block is, or is there only one? Thanks!

mikentucky welcome aboard.

not sure I am following you. The manual I have has 2 diagrams one for accessories and the other for engine, both show the same fuse block which is under the helm.

Start a new post with the issues you have and we will advise.

OK, I PROMISE I'll put my glasses on first next time...the manual I found online covers a few different models. I was looking at the "Fuse Block Diagram" for a 2800SCR, not my 2400SCR :-) At least it'll be a cake walk to do the one I see! Thanks Mike.

Nav and anchor lights - question; does the switch that operates those light have it's own light? If so, does the switch light come on when you flip the switch to nav or anchor?

If so, open up the housings for the nav lights and clean connections and/or replace the bulbs. Look into the anchor light socket and see if the two male pins are in place. Check the base of the anchor light pole - the female receivers need to be tight around......well, you get the idea.

Was the house lights fuse actually blown? sometimes corrosion builds up on the blades and contacts. unseating and reseating the fuse a couple of times scrapes away the corrosion. You would also hit the fust itself with a fine steel wool, but that doesn't help the contacts in the fuse block. I've seen this resolve a lot of weird 12v issues.

Yes nav and anchor lights do have a light on the switch and it does not turn on when I hit the switch... The fuse for the the cabin lights was not blown. It may have been corroded. Glad I decided to change it for shits and giggles!!

If the switch light isn't illuminating odds are the switch(s) are not getting 12V. Just eyeballing the fuse may not show if it's blown, and even if it isn't the contacts my be corroded. Pull and replace the fuse. Even remove/insert several times to clean the connections.

A volt meter is very useful, and fairly inexpensive.

I had the same issue but with my refrigerator... I decided that I wouldn't tempt fate with my precious beers/burgers and replaced my corroded fuse block with (2) new ones. Click image for larger version

since the nav and anchor get power from the same fuse start there and verify 12V is on both sides of the fuse and go from there.
