Default Any value to old electronics?

I have a 20 year old furuno GP 1650 DC that I'm removing to install a garmin.
Anyone out there need something like this? It has a south fl chip and it works, screen is not real bright and I don't know how to adjust the brightness.

Maybe, but usually not. At least not for very much money. There are always frugal boaters out there just hoping to 'get by'.

I honestly for the life of me can't decide what electronics I truly feel like I need on Puget Sound. My helm is basically empty right now. Previous owner left me with his old

much much older version of this guy, black and white.

I do want to hook up the transponder to get depth but beyond that it's hard to know how much I need when the GPS on the phone is pretty dang accurate on the water.
