Cool Accy switch mystery?

My first question on this forum! Thanks for any help in advance.

I just bought a 2008 1800MX and have been working on replacing some of the toggle switches. The ACCY switch is one of them. However, I am a bit confused ... the current (broken toggle) switch has two wires connected to it. So, presumably the previous owner hooked it up to SOMETHING. But after replacing the switch and playing with it, I can't seem to find out what it is hooked up to.

The most common answer seems to be the radio, but the radio works regardless of the switch's position (i.e. - turning on the boat's battery turns the radio on ... no switch needed) So .... does anyone have any suggestions on what it could possibly be powering? It's a small-ish boat without any after market accessories (that I'm aware of) so I'm at a loss. I tried tracing out the two wires but it's a bit confusing and unclear what they are going to. I can re-trace and isolate if that's the only real solution ... just wanted to see if anyone had an idea.

Thanks guys!

That ... is a really great point and I feel incredibly dumb for asking now. I can't believe I didn't check that. I will verify to see if that's the case and reply back. Thank you!

Turns out that wasn't it, either. I posted a picture elsewhere in the thread if that helps.

I should have mentioned - I did look for tags elsewhere to match up and I didn't find anything (at least not where I looked). I also searched for some sort of diagram or list showing what wires are designated for what but came up with nothing except the generic factory wiring diagram which was no help.

I will probably just trace them out completely at this point, even if it means untangling all the other wires and harnesses. It seems to be what makes the most sense. I just wanted to avoid that if possible.

If just those are the only wires, there isn’t anything connected to that switch.
Hot lead is the ORG and the Yellow is a ground. Check my assumption with a meter, but the yellow should be connected for any switch that illuminates.

I believe this is true. Maxum pre wires the Accy switches with power but they are left to the owner to use them or not.

Wow, ok, that's interesting. I really appreciate everyone's input. Thank you!
