Default New owner!

Hello all!

We just purchased a 2001 1800 SR, two hours ago. We towed her home in a thundering downpour with our Jeep Wrangler. The exhaust manifolds and risers need replacing before we can put her in the water. I will do the work myself, so if anyone has a suggestion on that, I’d certainly appreciate it.

A quick question...I don’t see a depth or speed transducer anywhere, though there are gauges. I would have expected to see them and associated wires on the transom. Any ideas?

Glad to be here and to join the club.

Keith

Most likely it’s a Alpha 1 Gen 2 which also has a pitot tube built into the leading edge of the drive. The depth sounder transducer at be mounted in the engine compartment and shots through the hull. What engine do you have? You may have the option to go with Mercruiser dry joint exhaust.
