Default New Member - Had Boat for 4 Years

Hi All,

I have got a 1996 Maxum 2700 - complete with 7.4L V8 and Bravo III with duo prop. Had her now for 4 years and have absolutely loved it! We call her Earl Grey - after our Favourite Tea! (we are English but live on Bainbridge Island WA).

We used her all the time - back and forth to the Seattle (rather than taking the ferry), up to the San Juan's and just day tripping fishing and catching crabs!

I am hoping to get some good advice from you guys, as we have had to store Earl Grey for the past year as my wife had an assignment down in San Francisco.

Whilst she was in Storage (The boat - not the wife!) our sterndrive got stolen! We are trying to find out details of what Bravo III gear ratio and duo prop size I need to buy to replace the one that was stolen! This is proving very hard to find out this info - so any thoughts of where to look etc would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers

Mike

I would probably get in touch with Mercruiser and have them give you the best options.

I hope the storage yard is covering the cost of the replacement. It's not going to be cheap.

On the engine cowl should be the serial number for the drive which will help Mercruiser identify the gear ratio.

It is a long story, but the sort answer is they are not! They have suddenly gone bust and new owners have come on the scene. The good news is that since new owners, there is increased security fencing, CCTV and someone now lives on site! So it shouldn't happen again!
