Smile First Boat, Maxum 2100SR2

My co-worker took me out on his boat last summer. He went halfsies on it new in 1997 and bought it outright in 2010. He just ordered a Malibu Wakesetter 23 MXZ (holy smokes!). And decided to sell his boat to buy a boat lift for his slip at the marina.

I got this 1ish owner for a cool 6500. It's pretty much original, heavily used, but well maintained. Has the 5.7L V8 in it with a good old carburator. I am very handy and the previous owner was not so I am going through and planning on really revitalizing this old thing. Mechnically it is 100% but cosmetically it has never really been detailed.

He was very sad to see it go but I have already fixed one thing that had been broken on it for years and he is happy he gets to follow the progress bing a co-worker and friend and also see another young family get enjoyment out of it.

My plans are just cosmetic repairs, cleaning, polishing and filling it with fuel. Looking forward to the summer!

Here she is in MY driveway!

First day fix, the ladder side sun deck support was broken (the wood gave way). Grabbed some fence brackets and grade 8 bolts from Lowes and drilled some holes and strengthened it up. Probably as strong or stronger then new now!
