Well I got it out ,removed some parts to get right down to it , who in their right minds puts bolts into a marine engine with dry threads !!!! Argh !!!!

Starter motor removal

Hi All I have a Maxum 180 with the 3 litre mercury engine , starter motor failed , can it be removed in place ? I think I can feel two bolts underneath can get a spanner on one but not enough room...
