Thanks Mike, its sounding like the transom mounted inducer is the easiest option. I will investigate!

I'm guessing a 'round puck' is something that looks like it is bolted into the bottom of the hull? Sorry to be dumb but as you can probably guess I am not the most mechanically adept! ...
