Hi Mike!
I have the 1995 Mercruiser owners manual and it states that to set the timing
" A special procedure must be followed for adjusting idle RPM and to adjust the timing".
But it does not...

I got this info from Mercury Marine so I guess it is correct!

The wire that has the hour meter connected to it is the ing. wire from switch!...

I will do more checking into what the hour meter is hooked to, and see if that is in fact the timing jumper!

Just so everyone knows, I found the Merc manual on line, and it had the info I was looking for!
The pink/white wire used to set base timing on Mercruiser TB V has 8 to 10 v+ DC!
