"external hose from the transom to bell housing" This was the source of the leak. Apparently a common problem on the Gen 11 outdrives with plastic couplings at the hose connection! thanks again. Back...

thanks Mike; oil in the water but the bilge is not totally clean either. Seems to stream out when engine is running and warm. I will pass those inspection items on to them.

Seeking suggestions: At the end of last season I noticed oil leaking from outdrive and need to add gear oil. It is a Alpha1/Gen 2 on a 5.7L Merc, in a 1996
SCR2400.
