Had a friend tell me that the alarm sound could be the neutral switch on the throttle linkage, maybe grounding out?. Could have slipped out of adjustment?

So, you may have answered this with the t-stat housing, but if it does intact go higher than 160, given new everything, what should I now be looking at? Do you mean a thermostat problem?
