Don't know why you'd ever want to pump raw water...

Don't know why you'd ever want to pump raw water into your potable water tank.

I'm thinking maybe a rigged up live well? Maybe they strapped a cooler on the platform and ran a hose into it?

Is it a male or female hose connection? If it is male, this is a wash down pump.

That would be something that was added, so switch could be anywhere. You'll have to follow the wires.
