2400 scr trailering

my 2400 scr is 5000lbs trailer 1000lbs =6000lbs any thoughts on a tow vehicle cap of 7000lbs is that enough .I'm looking at a ford f150 or a silverado 1/2 ton.I would be towing on the flats...
