actually it doesn't help point the boat in a...

actually it doesn't help point the boat in a straight line....it helps counter torque of the drive...makes it easier for the drive to be turned against the torque as the prop is spinning...

it usually provides anti torque to the drive to keep it from wanting to turn right or left....if you don't have pwr steering..then it's usually used...if you have pwr steering...then not...

welcome to the zoo....was your other boat an outboard???...you know..the anti torque fin has been a mystery to me...sometimes thier on an outdrive...and sometimes not...I don't think I've ever seen...
